What would camp be without a bonfire and s’mores? GE teams may be guilty of exporting this all-American experience to kids around the world. Surprisingly, it’s not a tradition in other countries. Seriously! They are missing out! Not our camp kids, though. Bonfire and s’mores night has become our favorite sticky tradition for the final night of camp. We take the ingredients for this American treat from the USA because something is just wrong with foreign “marshmallows.” They don’t cook when you stick them in the fire. They just melt and fall off the stick. Ewwwww! We think they are made of plastic. Anyway, for 37 cents per child you can supply awesome American s’mores for the kids of Romania, Ecuador, and Zimbabwe. Maybe we should start a fundraiser for toothbrushes next.
